Visual design heavily impacts the experience of the learner in a classroom, staff meeting or PD session. With the right guidelines, educators can use design techniques to increase access for all learners. Lauren is a Learning Experience Designer on a mission to help educators create inclusive materials for the classroom. In this session, she will reveal how she used visual design techniques in her middle school classroom to improve the student learning experience, increase comprehension, and take classroom management to the next level. Session attendees will work alongside Lauren to create and design together, and leave equipped with knowledge, tools and resources to implement design changes in their personal materials that day! This session is perfect for any K-12 educator who teaches with technology on a regular basis. Let’s steal the strategies that web and app designers use to create equitable and engaging experiences for ALL students.
